Authorization Required

Please enter your 14-digit USF library number:

Please enter your online catalog password:

Your online catalog password is by default your birthday in the format of MMDD (IE, 1231 if you were born on December 31st). If this does not work, try "1234". You can change your online catalog password (and are encouraged to do so) by logging in directly to online catalog (same place as Online Renewal) and choosing the "My Account" button and the "Change Password" option. If you have trouble signing on to online catalog or EZProxy, contact your USF Library.

Information submitted through this form is secure.
Logout Report Problems

Your online catalog password is required to ensure secure and continued access to Electronic Resources.

Your LIBRARY NUMBER is on the last line of your USFCard and begins with 205...

When authorization is successful and proxied access is enabled, your session will return to the previous page or the proxy menu. "http://ezproxy.lib.usf.edu..." will preface all URLs when in proxy mode.

INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS

You have requested access to a resource governed by license or copyright restrictions. Verification of your USF current term affiliation as student, faculty, or staff is required before access may be granted.

If you are currently connected through the USF proxy server, please disable your browser's proxy options or preferences settings before continuing.

Why Do I Have to Do This?

The USF Library subscribes to many databases and online journals that are subject to license restrictions that limit off campus access to USF students and employees only. This system verifies that you are a current USF affiliate and then enables access from any computer worldwide.

This connection is not required if you are on campus.

Before connecting through this proxy server:
  • Disable or deactivate any USF proxy server configuration settings you may have made in your browser software's preferences/options files.
  • Be sure that your browser software has been allowed to accept "cookies" in your browser's preferences/options settings. Cookies expire and are removed upon closing your browser sessions.
  • Be sure that Java/JavaScript preferences/options are enabled.

While in proxy mode:
  • Only use links on the web pages (Do not use the "home" button, "favorites" or "bookmarks", or input into the location bar). Use "back" and "forward" buttons freely.
  • URLs bookmarked during this session will not work after you logout.
  • You should not encounter further userid/password requests during your proxied session. Please report problems and error messages promptly.

Lost? You are in proxy mode whenever the URL in your location window begins with "http://ezproxy.lib.usf.edu..." If you follow a link that takes you out of a library defined site, you may lose proxy mode. You may need to
-- use the "back" button to return to the proxied site.
-- reconnect to this authentication screen (session may have expired).

Special note to Moffitt Users: Because of the configuration of Moffitt's network, repeated failed attempts at validation (by one or a number of proxy users at Moffitt) can result in a long term (5 hour) security lockout of Moffit's network from using the EZProxy Server. Please ensure you are entering your number correctly once. If you continue to have problems getting access, utilize one of the support options above.
